My Cover Letter
Dear hiring manager,
Over the course of my journey in high tech, I have gained a lot of first hand industry experience at top tier
companies and start-ups (Netscape, Sun Microsystems, McAfee.com, UCSF Medical Center, FDB Health), earned a
master of science in IT management, learned the latest software design patterns, and traveled—as I'm sure you
know, the world has become a much smaller place.
My exposure to a variety of peoples and cultures deepens my understanding and appreciation for the complexity of
human experience. This includes learning to understand and work effectively with people from diverse
backgrounds. It is precisely this combination of soft skills and understanding of technology and software development that make me a skilled software development leader.
At no time in my career have I been more skilled and ready to meet this challenge than now. I have spent years in
the trenches becoming an expert in OOP, agile, and DevOps so that one day I would be ready for that next step. I am looking for a challenging opportunity leading a software development team here in the Bay Area.
